Site search update 9th March 2010
We are currently looking at four possible sites. The owner of these sites is reluctant to talk
to us yet and may submit a planning application for industrial development on his land and that
will take it beyond our means. The comments to us by the planners however suggest they are not
very enthusiastic about that sort of use for the land. If the application for industrial is
rejected, the owner may be persuaded to talk to us.
We have started negotiations with a landowner on a second site. It is early days and at the
moment both sides have different ideas of both lease and rent. Further negotiations are quite
possible, so we will see if we can get closer to something that might work.
A third site that is too big for us on our own has been offered for sale and a deal agreed
with another party. We are putting out feelers to see who the purchasers are, what they want
to do on the land and if they might be interested in working with the Club.
We are also talking to the owners of a fourth site to see what can be done on the land and the
sort of deal they want. But again it is very early days for this.
